    • To change Frameo to display pictures in portrait mode, you typically need to adjust the settings within the Frameo app or directly on the Frameo device itself, depending on the model you have. Here’s a general step-by-step guide:

Access Settings: Open the Frameo app on your smartphone or navigate the menu directly on the Frameo device.
Orientation Settings: Look for an option related to “Orientation” or “Display Settings” within the app or device menu.
Select Portrait Mode: Choose “Portrait” or “Vertical” orientation instead of “Landscape” or “Horizontal”. This setting determines how pictures are displayed on the Frameo screen.
Save Changes: Once you’ve selected portrait mode, save the changes by following the prompts in the app or on the device.
Rotate Photos if Needed: If some photos still appear sideways, you may need to rotate them on your phone or computer before sending them to Frameo.
Test Display: Send a photo to Frameo after making these changes to ensure it displays correctly in portrait mode.

If your Frameo model or app interface differs, refer to the user manual for specific instructions. This should help you enjoy your photos in portrait orientation on your Frameo device.

  1. Why don’t all of my photos show up in the gallery on my phone app? They show up in the history, but only 31 actually show in the gallery. Also, one of my invited friends sent photos that showed on his device that they were sent, but they never came to my frame. And finally, am I able to sync two frames together so that they both receive all the photos sent? I received a 10.1″ frame and also a larger 15.6″ frame as gifts; I would really like to somehow link them. I don’t fine your screen menus very helpful.

    • It sounds like you’re experiencing several issues with photo syncing and display on your frames. Here are some steps and considerations that might help:
      1. Gallery Display Issue: If not all photos are showing up in the gallery on your phone app, it could be due to several reasons:

Syncing Settings: Check if there are any specific settings in your app that control which photos are displayed in the gallery.
Storage Location: Ensure that all your photos are stored in a location that the app scans for gallery display.

2.Photo Transfer Issue: If photos sent by your friend are not appearing on your frame:

Connection: Ensure that both frames are properly connected to the internet and that there are no network issues preventing the transfer.
Compatibility: Verify if the file format or size of the photos sent by your friend are supported by your frame’s software.

      3. Syncing Multiple Frames:

Manufacturer Support: Check with the manufacturer of your frames if they support syncing multiple frames together.
Instructions: Look for specific instructions or settings within the frame’s menus or app to sync multiple frames.
Compatibility: Ensure that both frames are compatible with the syncing feature and that they are set up correctly to receive photos from the same source.

      4. User Interface Feedback:

Provide Feedback: If you find the screen menus lacking in helpfulness, consider providing feedback to the manufacturer or looking for any updates that might improve usability.
Community Forums: Sometimes, community forums or support groups related to your frames might have tips or workarounds shared by other users.

For a more tailored solution and to address specific model nuances, checking the user manual or reaching out to customer support of the frame manufacturer could provide detailed assistance. They can often provide troubleshooting steps or software updates that might resolve these issues.

    • Pictures disappearing from Frameo could be due to several reasons, but here are some common issues to consider:

Network Connectivity: If your Frameo frame relies on Wi-Fi to sync photos from the app, unstable or weak network connections can prevent new pictures from appearing or cause existing ones to disappear.
Software Updates: Sometimes, automatic updates or changes in the Frameo app or frame itself can affect how photos are managed and displayed. Checking for updates and ensuring your app and frame firmware are up to date can resolve such issues.
Storage Limits: Frameo frames have limited internal storage. If it reaches capacity, older pictures may automatically be deleted to make room for new ones. Managing the frame’s storage by removing unnecessary photos can help prevent this.
App Settings: Reviewing the settings within the Frameo app is crucial. Ensure that settings related to photo display, sync frequency, and storage management align with your preferences.
Technical Glitches: Occasionally, technical glitches within the app or frame’s operating system can cause pictures to disappear temporarily. Restarting both the app and the frame or performing a reset can often resolve these issues.

If you continue to experience disappearing photos despite checking these factors, contacting Frameo support for personalized assistance would be advisable. They can provide further troubleshooting steps specific to your device and setup.

  3. If I move Frameo even just a little while it’s running, the picture goes haywire. Why and what should I do in that case?

    Reply
    • It sounds like your Frameo might be sensitive to movement, possibly due to loose connections or a technical issue with its internal components. If the picture goes haywire when it’s moved even slightly, it could indicate a problem with the display, the connections to the motherboard, or even the power supply.

      To troubleshoot, I’d recommend:

Checking Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected.
Stability: Place the Frameo on a stable surface to minimize vibration.
Technical Support: If the issue persists, contacting customer support for Frameo or consulting a technician might be necessary to diagnose and fix the problem.

It’s frustrating when technology doesn’t behave as expected, but hopefully, these steps can help you get your Frameo back on track!

However, you might still be able to salvage your photos by transferring them to a new frame. Many digital frames have options for transferring photos via memory cards, USB drives, or even through Wi-Fi connections if both frames support it. • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you could try a factory reset. Be aware that this will erase all data on the device, so make sure to back up any important photos first.

      1. Check USB Mode: Make sure the frame is set to the correct USB mode. Some devices have different USB modes like “Charge only” or “File Transfer.” Switch to “File Transfer” if it’s available.
      2. Restart the Frame: Unplug the frame and restart it. Then, try connecting the USB again.
      3. Use a Different USB Cable: Sometimes, the USB cable might be the issue. Try using another one that supports data transfer.

When I try to backup to the cloud, it just says “the frame will start soon” but never starts. The date and time, location and weather reset EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am unable to do a software update. Last one done automatically was in January. Now it gives an error. And finally it says my Wifi isn’t connects. But when I go to connect it, then it shows it is already connected.

    Reply
    • It sounds like you’re dealing with multiple issues on your Frameo device. Let’s break it down step by step:

      1. Backup Issue (External Storage vs. Cloud): If you’re trying to back up to the cloud but it’s failing, it might be due to a software glitch. Make sure you’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection. If the cloud backup isn’t working, try restarting your device and attempt the backup again. You could also check if there’s enough storage available in your cloud account.
      2. Date, Time, and Weather Resetting: The constant resetting of date, time, and weather usually happens when the device struggles to maintain a connection to the internet. Ensure that your Wi-Fi is stable and that the device isn’t set to automatically reset itself.
      3. Software Update Issue: Since you haven’t been able to update the software since January, this could be a major factor in the other problems you’re facing. I’d recommend performing a factory reset on the Frameo. This can help clear any bugs or issues preventing the software update. Be sure to back up your photos and data before resetting.
      4. Wi-Fi Connection Problems: If your device shows it’s connected to Wi-Fi but still has trouble, try disconnecting and reconnecting it manually. You can also restart your router to ensure a fresh connection. If that doesn’t work, forget the Wi-Fi network on your Frameo and reconnect it again with the correct credentials.

If none of these steps resolve the issues, reaching out to Frameo’s customer support might be the best next step for further assistance. Let us know how it goes!

      1. Check USB Cable & Port: Make sure you’re using a working USB cable and a functional USB port on your computer. Sometimes, the cable might be faulty or the port could be loose.
      2. Restart Both Devices: Try restarting both your computer and the Frameo device. Sometimes, a simple restart can solve connection problems.
      3. Update Drivers: Windows might not have the correct driver installed for the Frameo. You can try updating your USB drivers or checking if there are any pending Windows updates.
      4. Frameo App: If you’re trying to transfer photos directly through the Frameo app, ensure the app is updated on both your phone and the Frameo device.
      5. Reinstall USB Drivers: In Windows 11, you can uninstall the USB drivers in the Device Manager and then restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers, which might fix the issue.

    • If your Frameo touchscreen has stopped functioning and you can’t access the settings, you can try the following steps to fix it:

      • Restart the Frameo Device: Unplug the device from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix touchscreen issues.
      • Check for Screen Damage: Make sure there’s no visible damage or cracks on the screen. If the screen is damaged, it may need professional repair.
      • Clean the Screen: If there’s any dirt or smudges on the touchscreen, gently clean it with a soft, microfiber cloth. Sometimes, touchscreens stop working due to dirt or grease.
      • Factory Reset: If the above steps don’t work, you may need to reset the device to factory settings. Since the screen isn’t responding, you’ll need to check the user manual or Frameo’s support page for instructions on how to do a factory reset without using the touchscreen.

If none of these steps work, it might be a hardware issue, and you’ll need to contact Frameo customer support for further assistance.

Can I have Folders on the SD card I intend to use. Will Frameo show all files in all the folders? I read a lot of the questions but saw no reference to Folders or files. Like if I had a folder for Pet files, would Frameo find and display them?
    Thank you,
    Dick Cote

    Reply
    • Hi Dick,

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, Frameo does not support organizing photos into folders on the SD card. It will read and display all the image files directly from the root of the card, so even if you create folders, Frameo won’t recognize them and won’t sort or display your photos based on those folders.

You’ll need to put all the images you want Frameo to display directly on the SD card without any folders. That way, the device can find and show all your photos without any issues.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:

      • Reboot the Frame: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix any software glitches. Unplug the frame, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
      • Try a Different Keyboard Input Method: If the frame has an option to change the keyboard type (like switching between QWERTY and another layout), check the settings for that and see if it makes a difference.
      • Factory Reset (if needed): If it continues to misbehave, you may want to consider a factory reset. Just keep in mind that this will remove any saved settings, so make sure to back up your photos first if possible.
      • Accessing Numbers: Usually, on most digital devices, numbers are accessed by selecting a “123” or “Symbol” button on the keyboard screen. Try looking for that option if you haven’t already.

If these steps don’t help, you may want to contact the manufacturer’s support team for further assistance.

Let me know if any of this works for you! 🙂

      Best of luck!

    • Hi there!

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your new Frameo not recognizing your Wi-Fi. Since your older frame works fine, it sounds like the issue could be with the new Frameo’s network settings. Here are a few things you can try:

      • Check the Wi-Fi Band: Frameo usually works best with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks, not 5GHz. Make sure your router is set to broadcast on the 2.4GHz band.
      • Forget and Reconnect: Go into the Frameo settings, forget the Wi-Fi network, and then reconnect to it. Double-check that you’re entering the right password.
      • Firmware Update: Sometimes new devices need an update out of the box. Check if there’s any firmware update available for your Frameo in the settings.
      • Router Settings: Make sure there aren’t any restrictions on the router, like MAC address filtering, that might block the Frameo from connecting.
      • Try a Different Network: If possible, try connecting the Frameo to a different Wi-Fi network, like your phone’s hotspot, to see if it connects. If it does, the issue might be with your home Wi-Fi settings.

If none of this works, you might want to contact Frameo’s support team for further assistance.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

  17. I unpluged my frameo and left it for 6 months. Now it will not turn on. I tried the reset button but that did not work either.

    • Hi! If your Frameo isn’t turning on after being unplugged for a long time, try these steps:

      • Check the Power Source: Ensure the power cable is properly connected to both the device and the wall outlet. Sometimes, connections can loosen up over time.
      • Try a Different Outlet: Plug your Frameo into a different wall socket to rule out any issues with the power source.
      • Leave it Plugged in for a While: If the device’s battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes to start up after being plugged back in.
      • Contact Frameo Support: If none of these steps work, there might be an internal issue. Reach out to Frameo Support for further assistance.
